About This Event
The Men’s Gymnastics Team Final requires each nation to field a team of 5 gymnasts (4 competing, 3 scores counting) on each of the 6 apparatus: Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar. The combined team score across all six apparatus determines the gold medal winner. Each gymnast specialises but must be capable across multiple events to contribute maximum scores.
Format
Teams from qualification advance to the team final. On each apparatus, 4 gymnasts compete and the 3 highest scores count. Combined scores across all 6 apparatus determine the team champion. Falls and errors by any team member directly impact the total, making consistency as important as peak difficulty.
