About This Event
The Women’s Road Race brings together Asia’s best female cyclists for a mass-start event on public roads. Team tactics play a significant role as riders work together and against each other to set up winning moves — breakaways, attacks on climbs, and sprint finishes are all possible race scenarios. The women’s road programme has grown dramatically in Asia in recent years.
Format
Mass-start format with all eligible riders beginning together. The course includes rolling terrain suitable for a wide range of racing styles. The first rider across the finish line wins gold, regardless of the road race tactics employed to get there.
