The Asian Games 2026 Handball will be held on 22 September 2026 at the Asian Games venue in Japan, with some of the qualification games to occur at two venues in Aichi prefecture. The tournament day will be one of the busiest as there will be approximately 6 games in the group stage.

How Is Handball Played?
Handball is a game played between 2 teams of 7 players (of which one is a goalkeeper) on the handball court at a fast pace. Contestants dribble, pass, and shoot with their hands, and can attempt to score in the opposing team’s goal. At the end of the game, the team that has scored the most goals wins!
