Karate Event Schedule – 20 September 2026

To run all Karate matches smoothly, Karate is divided into two sessions.

Morning Session (10:00 – 15:20 JST)

During the evening session (17:40 – 21:00 JST), four major Karate medal events will be held:

Men’s Individual Kata Final

  • One-on-one Kata performance competition
  • Determines gold, silver, and two bronze medal winners

Women’s Individual Kata Final

  • High-level solo Kata performances
  • Decides the women’s individual champions

Men’s Team Kata Final

  • 3-member synchronized national team event
  • Includes Kata performance + Bunkai (practical application demonstration)

Women’s Team Kata Final

  • 3-athlete synchronized Kata routines
  • Focus on precision, timing, and technical coordination

Toyohashi Gymnasium will host karate finals

The modern indoor sports hall – Toyohashi Gymnasium in Toyohashi, Japan, which is made to host high-level martial arts and international sports competitions, will host the Asian Games 2026 Karate final events.
