Play Modern Pentathlon (Asian Games 2026)

Modern Pentathlon is a multi-sport event that involves athletes to participate in 5 different sports in the same competition. The aim is to get as many points as possible in each of the events and win the final race.

1. Fencing (Épée – One Touch)

Each athlete can directly compete with all other athletes.

2. Swimming (200m Freestyle)

The fastest time will receive the most points
Every second difference affects the ranking

3. Obstacle / Riding Event

Obstacle racing (in a newer format) is now used in the Modern pentathlon.
Athletes run through a course of obstacles, which is timed.
Contains balance activities, jumping, and climbing activities.

4. Laser Shooting

The athletes are equipped with electronic targets, which are shot from a laser pistol.
Must reach targets (or goals) before moving on
Confidence is essential, and calmness is important.

5. Laser-Run (Final Event)

Combination of running + shooting
Athletes run laps and stop at shooting stations.
Ensure that targets are being met before going on with running
