The Shooting 4th Final Event of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games will be held on 23 September 2026 at the ‘Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery’ in Japan. Action-packed competition day with 6 gold medal events – one of the most significant days of the Games. Athletes will compete in both Rifle and Shotgun Trap, with medals awarded in both rifle and shotgun trap team events.

Six Gold Medal Events on 23 September 2026

1. Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (Individual)

The event is made of a series of three firing positions: Kneelers, Prone, and Standing. Once qualified, the best team(s) move on to the knockout stage and a gold medal final. Nothing is more important than precision, consistency and mental strength.

2. Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (Team)

Teams will contain three athletes, with their qualification scores being tallied to produce a team rank. The aggregate of both teams’ scores determines the winning team and the overall gold medal.

3. Men’s Shotgun Trap (Individual)

Athletes make shots to the fast moving traces fired from a trap machine of clay. Once in the qualification rounds, those who do well make it to the elimination round, where they compete for the gold medal.

4. Men’s Shotgun Trap (Team)

Team medals are awarded according to the number achieved by the team members in their qualification scores. Each of these goals can play a part in the podium battle.

5. Women’s Shotgun Trap (Individual)

The women’s individual trap will be a qualification round, elimination round, and medal round. Competitors’ precision has to be outstanding under stress.

6. Women’s Shotgun Trap (Team)

National teams participate based on performance at combined qualifying races, and positions are determined as a combined score.
