Asian Games 2026 Shooting Finals – 20 September

The shooting competition at Asian Games 2026 will mark the first actual medal race of the shooting competition on 20 September 2026, with the opening of 2 of the most action-packed and competitive shooting matches in the entire shooting discipline of the Asian Games.

This is indeed an important day, not only for the awarding of the first shot so far in the Games, but also for the fact that this is a day that follows the rest of the competitions.

It will be an exciting time as spectators can watch top of the field Asian athletes in mixed teams with high-pressure shots, dramatic finishes, and world-class precision shooting.

Shooting Finals on 20 September 2026

On this important day there will be two medal events:

• 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Final
• 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Final

These are not plain football matches, it’s the first games of the shooting programme and one of the most awaited games at the Asian Games.

Competition Format

• Each athlete fires a fixed series of shots
• Usually 30 shots per shooter
• Total combined score decides ranking
• Strict time control and accuracy rules

There are two principal sessions during the competition day:

Morning Session (10:00 – 12:15 JST)

• Qualification rounds
• 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team
• 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team

Afternoon Session (13:00 – 15:15 JST)

• Bronze medal matches
• Gold medal finals
• Medal ceremony moments

Shooting games of the Asian Games 2026 will be held at the top-class ISSF standard shooting gallery, called the Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery, in Japan.
