What is the Women’s Team Event?

The Women’s Team Event will be one of the official squash events at the Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games 2026. Individual athletes win medals but it’s national teams who fight it out for qualification to the medals competition.

Competition Format

Team Structure

  • Every country fields three female players for each team tie.
  • Each athlete competes in one singles match.
  • It isn’t that teams need that one big name, it’s that they need consistent performances in all three matches.

Match Format

  • Games are played over 5 games.
  • All games go to a maximum of 11 points.
  • If the players tie (10-10), play resumes until one miscues the other by 2 points.

Winning the Tie

A nation’s main team tie-breaking games are the three singles games. The nation that wins the most of those is declared the overall main team winning nation. These results are used to determine team standings and the top teams will go to the knockout stage.
