Beach Volleyball Match Format
The Beach Volleyball competition in the Asian Games is based on FIVB beach volleyball rules in force in international tournaments.
- The matches will be played best-of-3 sets.
- The first and second sets of this game are played up to 21 points.
- Each team must win the game to a win, then play a deciding set to 15 points.
- Teams have to win each set with a net margin of 2 points.
- All scoring is done by RALLY, meaning each time the ball is played.
- Play is regularly changed to provide fair playing conditions, particularly if outdoors where the wind and sun may affect play.
