The Asian Games 2026 women’s football Quarter-Finals will commence on Saturday, 26th September 2026 for the knockout stage of the women’s football competition during the Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games 2026. Women’s Football Tournament Format
The women’s football competition follows a structured progression from the group stage to the medal matches.
Group Stage
The event starts with the draw of 12 women’s national teams into groups. The team competition is carried out in a round-robin format and is scored by points based on the results of competitions.
Quarter-Finals
There will be 4 knock-out games in the quarter final. Only teams that are not eliminated can participate in the next round, the winner of which will advance to the semi-final.
Semi-Finals
The 4 quarter-final winners then battle it out for a gold medal in the final.
Bronze Medal Match
Loses in the semi-finals play in the competition for a bronze.
Gold Medal Match
The two semifinal winners will face off in the final, which will decide the winner of the Asian Games women’s football.
