Virtual Taekwondo is an innovative competition system developed by World Taekwondo, which utilizes state-of-the-art digital technologies and Taekwondo know-how. Using a combination of classic Taekwondo techniques, the athlete will perform kicks on the real object while using motion-sensitive fins to measure speed, accuracy, power, and timing in a real-time scenario.

Competition Format
For the Individual Mixed-Gender Event, the categories are based on a ‘one round’ knockout setting where there is only one deciding result for each match. Once the athlete’s match is over, he/she is declared “out,” and the winning athlete advances to the next round.
